IMPORTANT INFO RE: SECRET SANTA
For some reason, there seems to be a lot more confusion this year! In an effort to keep things fair and simple, I am instituting some rules (which should have been clear before we began, but I suppose I had better spell them out):
1. YOU MUST PUT YOUR TUMBLR NAME AND SHIPPING INFORMATION ON ELFSTER. If you cannot figure out how to do this, email me. If the person you drew has not responded to any of your questions in the next day or two, and has not posted any information, please email me and they will be removed (you will be re-assigned to someone new).
2. People who registered for tumblr for the express purpose of participating in this will be removed. It’s pretty clear to see who’s done this, and that’s simply not fair for the other people participating. If you suspect as much of your draw (i.e. they have no posts before Dec. 1), please email me [katrei626@gmail.com] and I will take care of it.
3. For the love of pug, PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY MORE REDUNDANT QUESTIONS ON ELFSTER. Please look to see if your question has already been answered in the public forum before asking it. And if all else fails, please email me directly instead of posting it on the website. When you do that, it and its subsequent responses flood everyone’s inbox…and that’s annoying. When you email me directly, that’s not annoying! Yay!
4. You cannot and will not be reassigned to someone else simply because you “have nothing in common.” And that’s okay! For example, I had never heard of my draw before they were assigned to me, and I don’t seem to have much in common with them, but it’s all part of the fun! Think outside of the box. And everybody, EVERYBODY, enjoys getting a fun little present in the mail. It doesn’t have to be elaborate or expensive, just something to show that you want to share some holiday spirit. Some of you will end up making some good friends through this, and maybe some of you will just get the pleasure of giving a fun present to a stranger and letting that be that.
Alright, so posts like this are boring and I hope I don’t have to make any more of them! :) I just wanted to make sure we are all on the same page here. And, as always, please email me if you have any questions at all.
