2010 tumblr secret santa
i’ve gotten several questions asking if i’m doing tumblr secret santa again this year. short answer: no. (long answer: nooooooooooo…hurr hurr hurr).
i had a lot of fun doing it the past few years, but this year between work and school and a million other things on my plate, i don’t have the time to do it right! i know last year there were some other secret santa projects...

the deadline to ship your gift is christmas day! of course, the post office won’t be open then (way to plan, katie), so technically tomorrow is the deadline.

For some reason, there seems to be a lot more confusion this year! In an effort to keep things fair and simple, I am instituting some rules (which should have been clear before we began, but I suppose I had better spell them out):

thing one: please be sure to put your tumblr username somewhere on your elfster profile! otherwise your secret santa won’t be able to figure out who you are/anything about you, and that would make for a very boring exchange.
the easiest way is to put it in your name (for example: first name, last name, tumblr username), or at the very least, make sure to put it somewhere on your profile...

I’m not going to lie, because I didn’t get one, it’s been making me not care about sending mine out. Granted I’m broke so that is also helping with the whole not sending it out. I even took the time (a lot of time) to make a fancy card.

For the most part, it looks like the first Tumblr Secret Santa Exchange was a huge success! I got lots of happy emails from people who had a great time participating, and I’m so glad you all had a good time with it :)
However, I’m still getting some emails from people who are bummed because they haven’t received a gift yet. This makes me so sad!
